An art fair is a booth-style convention show that hosts various galleries, collectives, curators, and independent artists so they can show their art to local and international collectors for purchase. (https://www.tribecaprintworks.com/what-is-an-art-fair/)

An exhibition is a public showing of works of art or items of interest usually by an artist/s or group and with a specific theme or subject. A fair is a gathering of people for various entertainment or commercial activities (https://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-exhibition-and-vs-fair) and in the case of an art fair, different artists, groups and galleries converge in one venue, manning their own selling or exhibit space.

Pahiyas Art Fair is open to all artists, art groups and art galleries. Please email us your intent to join along with your profile and portfolio to 2023@pahiyasartfair.com and we will send you back the details and fees once approved by our screening committee.

There is a corresponding fee if you are joining as an art group/gallery or invidividual artists.

Pahiyas Art Fair 2023 will be open from May 13-15, 2023, 9AM to 7PM. Please visit our website or FB page for updates and changes.

Children are most welcome to visit the art fair. However, parents are reminded that there may be exhibits with mature content that may not be suitable for minors. Parental guidance is advised. Artworks also cannot be touched.

Students are most welcome at the Pahiyas Art Fair.  We also encourage them to attend and listen to art talks and workshops.

The Lucban Academy Gym, the venue of the Pahiyas Art Fair is accessible to PWDs as it is on a street level with no steps.

You may enter and leave the fair at your own convenience.

Photography and videography is permitted but please turn off your camera flash. Also, please be considerate of other viewers when taking the shot or selfie.

Food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibit area. Food and refreshments are available inside the art fair.

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the art fair venue. We will be requiring you to check these in at the bag depository area near the entrance.

  • Large, heavy, or bulky bags and backpacks that may cause damage to the artwork.
  • Weapons of any kind including small knives.
  • Pointed objects such as umbrellas and selfie sticks.
  • CCTV cameras are in operation at all times for your safety and security.
  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
  • Photography and videography within the art fair venue is allowed for personal use only. You may not use them for commercial purposes unless with prior written permission from us. Email us regarding this concern at info@pahiyasartfair.com.

Yes, there are restrooms available at the art fair venue.

Yes there are emergency facilities at the venue.

Pets are not allowed at the Pahiyas Art Fair.

Smoking is not allowed at the art fair venue.

One-side parking are allowed on side streets near the venue. Most of them will be still available before May 15 so please park your vehicle ahead of that date.

There are ATMs available in banks near the art fair venue.

Artists and/or gallery staff shall be at the art fair whom you can definitely approach to find out more about the artists and the works on display.

The town of Lucban during the Pahiyas Festival celebration is jampacked with people. Some areas are crowded, sometimes chaotic. Petty criminals like pick-pockets and snatchers abound. Please take good care and keep an eye of your belongings specially gadgets like CP, cameras, bags and wallets. Talk and make transactions only with artists, gallery staff, security and organizers bearing the official ID cards.
